Grief Services
At What’s Up Grief, both in-person and virtual appointments are available.
For virtual sessions, clients must be located in the Commonwealth of Virginia at the time of the session.
For in-person sessions, clients have a choice in location: meeting in the office, sitting outside, hiking the trails, or walking the paved path around the lake.
Because counseling doesn’t always need four walls.

Adult Counseling
Talk-based counseling to support grieving individuals or couples ages 18 and older.

Youth Counseling
A mix of talk-based counseling and hands-on/creative arts to support youth ages 3 - 17.

Adult Support Groups
Structured gathering of 5 - 7 grievers on a specific topic or aspect of grief.

Gathering of 5 grievers with time for creative arts, group discussion, individual processing.

Connection Opportunities
Casual gathering of 5 - 7 grievers ages 18+ to increase support and self-care.
Ongoing Support Groups
Free-of-charge support group for parents grieving the death of a child, at any age, from any cause.
Meets on the second Tuesday of every month,
7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
